Tempo & Transport§

The transport screen allows you to edit the BPM and multiplier of the internal clock; start, stop, and reset said clock; and access the system, patch, and channel settings.

If other 2steps are chained to this one, any idle units will sync with it when you use these controls.

Remember, you can hold the shift button while accessing this menu for quick access that ends when you let go. So you can, from the home screen, press shift+left or shift+right to quickly play, pause, or reset the clock.

Tempo controls§

The BPM display and editing happens on the step buttons and lights:

You can edit the tempo at any time with the knob, to any value from 0 to 299. For a more precise result, you can use the step buttons and lights. The ones digit is displayed as a lit step in the right column. The 8 lights represent values 1 through 8 from bottom to top. 0 lives behind 1 and 9 lives behind 8, accessible by double-tapping the respective button and represented by a flashing light.

The tens digit follows the same rules but lives in the left column. The hundreds digit is displayed as a shaded background in the left column. You can cycle through the digits by double-tapping any left-column step button besides 1 or 8.

Here on the panel, you can see displayed the default BPM of 120.

The BPM multiplier is displayed in the pagelights, and can be 1×, 2×, 4×, or 8×. The default value is 4×. A future version may offer more multiplier options.

From here, you can return home or access the various settings menus.

As you can see, the layout of the four channel settings buttons mirrors the layout of the four output jacks just above them.
